COVID-19 and Interstitial Cystitis

Some people with COVID-19 infection have experienced interstitial cystitis (IC), a chronic inflammatory bladder disease. However, the relationship between COVID-19 and his inflammatory bladder disease is unknown. So, a team of researchers from Qingdao Municipal Hospital, China, Peking Union Medical College, China, Qingdao University, China,  and Zhucheng People’s Hospital, China, tried to study the genetic correlation between Covid-19 and IC, how the disease develops and progresses and screened potential drugs targeting the common DEGs using bioinformatics tools such as KEGG, R package GSVA, Drug Signatures Database (DSigDB), and machine learning algorithms.
